Welcome to the friendlycosywelcomingdog-friendlyairyrelaxedlightfriendlycliff-toptastyhomelyqualitychild-friendlyvista-tastic Guardhouse Café!

We serve a range of local hot and cold food, fairtrade coffee, Teapigs tea, alcoholic and soft drinks – and of course the famous Guardhouse Cream Teas! Everyone is welcome, including four-legged family members.

Berry Head itself is a fantastic place to visit for a few hours. There is great walking and fishing; rare wildlife including regular sightings of dolphins and porpoise; the largest colony of Guillemots in the South of England; history in the form of the Napoleonic-era fort, cannon, and occasional reenactment battles. Berry Head has something for everyone (even before trying our fabulous food).

Opening times

We are open EVERY DAY through the winter from 9am - 5pm, unless the weather is REALLY bad. We serve hot food between 10am and 4pm.

Thursday January 29th, 2015

We are open today as normal from 9am to around 4pm (as it is getting dark earlier now).

During the winter on days when the weather is really terrible we may be forced to close – if we do, we will display a message here, as well as in the car park and on our answering machine message.

We are proud to be a member of Food and Drink Devon, an organisation which promotes quality, freshly-prepared, locally-sourced food and drink within the county.
